Noah Williams, EIT
Junior Engineer
Noah joined NorthStar in 2023 as a Junior Engineer after graduating from California State University, Chico, where he specialized in hydraulics, contaminant transport, and hydrogeology. Before his time at Chico State, he served in the US military, overseeing a secure facility for a government agency. A native of Chico, Noah cherishes the area’s rich natural resources and breathtaking mountains.
During his tenure at NorthStar, Noah has gained diverse experience, collaborating with various clients spanning private developers, municipal bodies, and educational institutions like elementary schools. His responsibilities have encompassed onsite wastewater design, site development, transportation maintenance initiatives, engineering cost estimations, stormwater drainage hydraulics, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections and reporting, as well as administrative and land use permitting. What particularly resonates with Noah about working in an interdisciplinary firm is his collaboration with the survey team. Engaging in fieldwork has not only been enjoyable but provided invaluable insights, an opportunity he might not have had elsewhere.
When not at work, you’ll often find Noah soaking in the natural beauty of Chico’s Bidwell Park or exploring the great outdoors, indulging in his favorite activities: hiking, camping, backpacking, fishing, and boating. A dedicated distance runner and weightlifter, Noah leads an active lifestyle. Yet, amidst his busy schedule, he carves time to immerse himself in British literature with “Lord of the Rings” ranking among his top reads. An interesting tidbit about Noah is his childhood dream of becoming a writer, fueled by his passion for crafting stories—a creative side of him that many may not know.
