Assistant Engineer

Josh joined the NorthStar team June 2024.  Originally from the small town of Richvale, California, Josh earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State University, Chico.  During his two years with the City of Oroville, Josh collaborated with NorthStar on several projects, where he was impressed by the team’s dynamic. With expertise in project management, construction management, and private development, his transition to NorthStar was seamless.

With his moto to “work hard for what you want” Josh dove write in on multiple projects including some very needed roadway repair projects for the Cities of Oroville and Corning.  Providing post-fire damage repairs for Pine Grove, and supporting NorthStar’s On-Call services contract with Butte County with bid document and specs review and revisions. He’s had a good combination of office and field work, stepping in with field inspections in Paradise for the new meters being installed with our partners Water Works.

Golf is Josh’s favorite pastime, both in and outside of work, where he enjoys the challenge and social time it offers. His bucket list includes playing in a qualifier for the US Open and skydiving. While few people know that Josh is a talented wood and metal fabricator, everyone knows he loves tacos and pasta—just not in the same meal.
