Paradise Ridge Mobile Home Community
NorthStar led the civil engineering efforts for the redevelopment of Paradise Ridge Mobile Home Community, a vital housing project in the heart of Paradise, California. Formerly known as Ponderosa Mobile Home Park, the site was destroyed in the 2018 Camp Fire. As one of the first mobile home parks to be rebuilt in the region, the project played a key role in restoring housing opportunities for residents affected by the disaster.

Congratulations to Jessica Orzalli
Join us in congratulating Jessica Orzalli on her well-earned promotion to Client Success Manager! Since joining NorthStar in 2016, Jessica has been a key part of our team, using her expertise in operations and coordination to support both our staff and clients.

Paradise High School
As part of Paradise’s ongoing recovery, NorthStar had the opportunity to work together with Studio W Architects to help bring the two-story Admin and Classroom Building to Paradise High School.
Completed in 2023, this building serves as a welcoming space for students, staff, and visitors, housing administrative offices and modern classrooms designed for collaborative learning.
A key challenge of this project was working with the site's uneven terrain while creating accessible connections to the existing campus. With the expertise of Studio W Architects and UBC General Contractors, the project delivered a well-designed, accessible space for the school community.
NorthStar is grateful to have been part of this meaningful project, contributing to the rebuilding efforts in Paradise and supporting Paradise Unified School District as the community continues to move forward.

Butte College Spring Gala
NorthStar attended the Butte College Spring Gala, an incredible event that brings the community together to support local students and recognize outstanding alumni.
The evening included a delicious dinner, silent and live auctions, and a dessert auction—all in support of the Butte College Foundation’s mission. The funds raised contribute to $200,000 in scholarships awarded each year, helping students reach their educational goals.
NorthStar values our long-standing connection with Butte College, and we were grateful for the opportunity to support such a meaningful cause.

Almond Blossom Run
NorthStar had the opportunity to support the 2025 Almond Blossom Run as a 5K Blossom Sponsor, bringing the community together to champion Durham’s student-athletes! This annual event helps fund essential equipment, concussion safety gear, and facility improvements for Durham Intermediate and High School sports teams.
Runners enjoyed a scenic course through blooming almond orchards, making it a memorable day for a great cause!

Mosaic 25th Anniversary Gala
NorthStar team members, Mark Wolfe and Nicole Ledford attended the Mosaic's 25th Anniversary Gala, celebrating an organization dedicated to building a more inclusive and peaceful future. NorthStar is proud to support The Mosaic Project as both a sponsor and a partner. We’re honored to help them reach their dream of operating at their own camp, where they can continue teaching empathy, communication, and conflict resolution to future generations.

Valley Contractors Exchange Crab Feed
Good food, great company, and an even better cause! NorthStar had a fantastic time at the Valley Contractors Exchange (VCE) Crab Feed, an annual fundraiser supporting the local construction industry. This year’s event at the Chico Elk’s Lodge brought the community together for a night of delicious crab, live music, and dancing.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley Valentine’s Gala
NorthStar traded in our work boots for fancy shoes at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley Valentine’s Gala! We were honored to be one of the sponsors and take part in this incredible fundraiser, which helps raise 5% of the organization’s annual operating budget. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley mission is "To inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as responsible, productive and caring citizens" and we are grateful to support such an amazing organization dedicated to investing in brighter futures! Colusa Farm Show Breakfast
This event brings together leaders in the community to connect, learn, and support the next generation. Since 2003, this event has raised over $600,000 for scholarships and leadership programs, benefiting organizations like the Chico State College of Agriculture, the California Agricultural Leadership Foundation, and Alpha Gamma Rho. We’re grateful to be part of an event that champions for the next generation of leaders.

Blood Drive Participants
NorthStar employees are rolling up their sleeves and making a difference! A group of our team members has committed to donating blood every eight weeks, helping out our community. Project Highlight: Artois Well and Water System Expansion
NorthStar collaborated with the Artois Community Services District on the Artois Well and Water System Expansion Project, funded by California's Small Community Drought Relief Program. The project aimed to provide reliable water services to drought-affected residents. NorthStar designed and oversaw the installation of 4,250 feet of new water mainline, lowered an existing well pump, managed project documentation, facilitated bidding and contractor selection, and provided construction administration. Working closely with the California Department of Water Resources, NorthStar ensured smooth execution, reinforcing long-term water security for the Artois community.

Project Highlight: City of Corning
NorthStar provides comprehensive City Engineering services for Corning, ensuring compliance with municipal codes and standards. They conduct technical reviews, support public projects through bidding and inspections, and offer on-call civil engineering and land surveying services for infrastructure development. Their expertise includes grading and drainage assessments, traffic studies, geotechnical reports, and surveying services such as boundary surveys and aerial drone mapping. Committed to Corning’s growth, NorthStar delivers expert engineering and dependable service for long-term infrastructure support.

Teresa joined NorthStar in 2017 as the Director of Business Operations and became President in 2023. With over 25 years of leadership experience, including roles at a Fortune 500 company and as VP of Operations at a California energy firm, she brings a thoughtful and strategic approach to everything she does.

Congratulations to Mekena Galka on 5 Years at NorthStar!
Mekena is celebrating her 5-year anniversary with us, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her hard work, dedication, and positive energy. As an Associate Engineer, Mekena has worked on a variety of impactful projects, including the Enloe Cancer Center, Silver Dollar Fair, and the Wisconsin Street subdivision for Habitat for Humanity.

Project Highlight: Bar Triangle Apartments
Check out this bird’s-eye view of the Bar Triangle project, showcasing our partnership with Sunseri Construction and AHDC as we collaborate to bring affordable housing to Chico, CA. This 70-unit low-income residential community, in collaboration with the Housing Authority of the County of Butte and the City of Chico, is making strides towards providing housing for individuals with incomes ranging from 30%-60% of the Area Median Income.

Special Event - Wheelin’ With Cops
NorthStar and some of our amazing team members took part in a truly special event—Wheelin’ With Cops. This year’s theme was Jurassic Park, making the day even more exciting for the kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley! We’re proud to be part of an event that brings together the community, public safety, and adventure for such a meaningful cause.
The event aims to connect children with public safety professionals, offering them a unique perspective on community service while enjoying outdoor adventure. This journey through the mountains allowed the kids to experience nature and engage with local firefighters, police officers, and four-wheel drive enthusiasts.

Project Highlight: Lampson Field Survey
NorthStar’s Survey Department recently teamed up with Armstrong Consultants, Inc., a Lochner Company for an apron rehabilitation survey at Lampson Field in Lakeport, California. The data collected helps engineers determine areas needing restoration or maintenance. At NorthStar, we're dedicated to maintaining excellence and precision in everything we do. That's why ensuring the highest accuracy, attention to detail, and full FAA compliance was our top priority for this project.

Project Highlight: Lincoln Blvd Apartments
NorthStar’s team had the opportunity to work on the Lincoln Blvd Apartments project, a 61-unit affordable housing development in Oroville, CA. This complex is being developed by the Richman Group and was designed by SVA Architects. The construction team is lead by Sunseri Construction, a frequent partner with NorthStar on large projects.
