Surveying
Land surveying is an essential part of nearly all NorthStar Engineering projects. NorthStar Engineering’s land surveying team is lead by four licensed professional land surveyors, two of which are also principles in the firm. These professionals have experience in all phases of land surveying and between them their combined land surveying experience exceeds one-hundred years. Land Surveying and mapping services include boundary surveying, ALTA surveying and mapping, Indian Trust and Public Lands surveys, expert witness testimony, Control surveys, Right of Way and Easement surveying and mapping, Parcel Maps, Subdivision Maps, Lot Line Adjustments, topographic mapping, and construction staking. We work throughout the State of California and have a land surveyor that is licensed in Nevada. All of our survey products are prepared under the supervision of one of our Professional Land Surveyors.
NorthStar Engineering supports two dedicated survey vehicles. We have a full line of conventional and robotic survey equipment as well as GPS capabilities. We have the ability to expand our services to three fully equipped survey crews as the need arises. We also have a full line of office equipment and software including copiers, plotters, computers, Microsoft Office Professional, AutoCad Civil 3D 2010, AutoCAD Civil 3D Land Desktop Companion 2008, Leica's SKI PRO GPS processing software, Greenbrier Graphics deed checker software, ESRI ArcMap 9.3 GIS software and other miscellaneous equipment. We pride ourselves on our ability to maintain and utilize current and appropriate technology for every project thereby insuring the delivery of the project in a timely manner and within the budget.
On January 1, 2011, GDA Engineering, Surveying and Planning of Oroville, California joined NorthStar Engineering of Chico, California. GDA Engineering, Surveying and Planning has been providing quality engineering, surveying and land planning services thoughout California since 1974. The merger of these highly reputable firms established a great depth of knowledge and experience that will greatly assist NorthStar-GDA clients by providing a wide range of turn-key solutions.
